The following are the main five disorders of the human digestive system

  • Reflux :Reflux is one of the digestive system disorders which a person experiences  a heartburn, which is a burning feeling rising up from the abdomen  to the chest.

  • Ulcers: Ulcers are painful sores that develop in the stomach lining or small intestine ,as the results of the  removal of the  mucus layer protecting the stomach from digestive juices ( Hydrochrolic Acid).

  • Gallstones: These are small, hard crystalline mass of bile pigments, cholesterol, and calcium salts formed in  gallbladder or bile ducts. They tend to block the bile ducts causing severe pain to the patient.
  • Constipation: Is a problem which a patient experiences difficulties in emptying the bowels, most of the time due to hardened feces.
  • Diarrhea: Is a problem which a patient passes  loosy stools and  more frequent than normal. This occurs due to infections.
